The Space: A fully stocked 2-bedroom, 1-bath apartment on the second floor of our two-flat. Both bedrooms have blackout drapes, and the bright office has a large desk for working from home. Heating: radiator heat with a thermostat you control. Cooling: window A/C units in the primary bedroom and living room, plus a portable A/C in the front bedroom. For families: a full-size crib, a pack-and-play, a portable high chair, a bathtub, and in-unit laundry for longer stays. We're also a proud partner of NAPA Center, about 10 minutes away. Outdoor Space: a backyard with a playground, grill, and patio, shared with our family. Our kids play out there too, so expect some friendly company. General Amenities: - Smart TV in the living room - Wi-Fi - In-unit washer/dryer - Towels and linens provided - Full-size crib and pack-and-play - Portable high chair (attaches to a dining chair) Supplies (starter amounts): - Toilet paper & paper towels - Hand soap & dish detergent - Laundry detergent & K-cups Guests manage refills after the starter supply.

Maximum occupancy: 4 guests. No unregistered guests without host approval. Quiet hours 10 PM – 8 AM. No parties or events. The host's family with young children lives downstairs. Check-in: 4:00 PM Check-out: 10:00 AM Half Day Stay (Early Check-In or Late Checkout) When available, we offer a Half Day Stay on either end of your trip for half of the nightly rate: check in anytime after 10:00 AM on arrival day, or check out as late as 4:00 PM on departure day. Because our priority is to book full nights, this only becomes available within 5 nights of your arrival if the night before arrival or after departure remains unbooked. Availability is also subject to our cleaning schedule. Fees: The $45 "Management Fee" serves as an accidental damage waiver, covering up to $500 in accidental damage. It does not cover negligence, smoking, or pet damage. Mid-Stay Cleaning: A cleaning during your stay is available for an additional fee. Message us to schedule. Pet Policy: - 1 well-behaved pet maximum, $35 per night. - Pets must be on a leash and walked off the property. Please don't let pets into the backyard, which is shared with our family and kids. - Service animals are always welcome and are not subject to the pet fee. Noise Monitoring: A Minut device monitors noise and smoke (not audio or video) to help prevent parties. There is also a floodlight security camera on the outside of the house. Short-Term Rental Agreement: After booking, guests will receive a short-term rental agreement outlining our house rules and policies. The agreement must be signed within 24 hours of booking. Guests booking outside Airbnb will also complete a quick ID verification before arrival. The cleaning fee covers a standard turnover. If the home requires excessive cleaning beyond normal use (including excessive trash, stains, bodily fluids, excessive dirt, moved furniture, or evidence of unapproved additional guests), the additional cost will be documented and charged through Airbnb's Resolution Center. Neighborhood
Norwood Park is a quiet, tree-lined residential neighborhood on Chicago's far Northwest Side. Caldwell Woods forest preserve is nearby and is our family's favorite spot. It's the start of the North Branch Trail, great for biking and walks. Edison Park's restaurants and bars are a short drive away.
Guest Access
The entire second-floor apartment is yours: your own private unit with keypad entry. The only shared space is the backyard.
